canapes – great, think it caters for all tastes
starter – a lot of non vegetarians arent a big fan of pate or anything involving offal. is it possible for them to select the vegetarian starter and meat main?
dessert – delicious!!

@newname_99: Yes they are able to select the vegeterian starter if they so wish. However the majority of our guests are family and Pate is a firm favourite all round 🙂 us. Although im a bit upset that i cant try the pate on Saturday because im pregnant as i wanted to see if the brioche was too sweet with it. Fiance isnt very good at judging things like that!!

I love the variety.

I feel like a hick everytime I read someones menu. Perhaps I need to start visiting different restaurants. I have NO idea what any of that stuff is, looks like, or tastes like!
[Then again, I am picky. I only eat vegetables [and im still picky about that], chicken & pastas].

@jenilynevette: Dont worry my fiance is picky too, or he was until he met me. He hasnt really got a clue what hes tasting on Saturday either but he knows he likes pate, pork and cake!

Everything except the starters sound great to me!

@gelaine22: Thank you. Its so hard trying to think of food the majority will like but at the end of the day you are never going to please 100% of the people 100% of the time!
I thought about soup for a starter but to me, soup and dresses isnt a good combo! Personally i hate melon and Papaya but there was very limited vegan options. Everybody is a meat eater except 1 vegan who is a very fussy eater.
If anyone can think of a vegan starter let me know. Im not sold on the melon.

@ChocolateLime: Wow, can I go to your wedding? Kidding… But seriously, your menu sounds fantastic! I’d eat everything on it!
As for the vegan starter, how about some veggie spring rolls? Or possibly a mushroom salad?

Vegan Wedding Food Guide 🙂
Its PETA so its Americanized, but you might get some ideas:
The stuffed Zuchinni and Mushroom Phyllo sounds really good to me. The Sundried Tomatoe Tapenade sounds awesome too and it would fit with the Pate that the meat-eaters are getting 🙂

I’m not a fussy eater at all, and the menu sounds great, apart from the starters. I truly cannot stand anything containing liver and kidneys. The melon sounds OK, but it’s not especially inspiring. I can see why you’re not sold on it. I chose a vegetarian teramasalata for my veggie starter, but you could also have miniature quiches, for example, or mini spinach, black olive, and nut tartlets.

OK i have just spoken to the vegan in question and discovered that she is not vegan at all, just vegeterian so she does eat dairy which is a big relief. Since she is the only veggie i asked her what sort of starters she likes (Arent i nice, making sure she has something she likes) and she said a soup will be fine. So i have emailed the caterers to replace the melon with a nice chunky minestrone soup with olive oil parmesan and grilled ciabatta. Not particulary fancy but nice nonetheless.

I have got to stop reading menu things early in the morning!
Fantastic acommodation of your veggie guest 🙂
Everything on that list sounds delightful to me…. I’m a quasi-vegetarian (mostly pescatarian) and would be stoked with most of the stuff on there. Anything that I don’t care for are things that I know 99% of people love, like spring rolls.
I also now want an elderberry spritzer instead of my coffee, haha.
