I really love red beans and rice! As a vegetarian, I wouldn’t eat the turkey or shrimp, but you know your guests better than I do. I think that it is great to have the food reflect who you are, so kudos for having the meal represent your hubby! My only suggestion would be to make sure to offer an option that isn’t spicy, just for those who cant handle it, or for kids.

It sounds fine. I know several people who can’t eat anything spicy at all so if they were guests, they would not be able to eat anything on your menu. Children and elderly guests are the same way and have very sensitive stomachs. But you know them best.

I don’t eat meat, so I’d definitely be hungry, but like others have said, you know your guests and if you have any vegetarians coming, I’d make sure you have an option for them. Besides that I’m sure it’ll be great.

It does sound nice! Since there is a theme, from your FI’s background, this menu is totally appropriate! Yums
