(Closed) Menus necessary?

I would probably still make one for each table just so they know the pacing and what’s on the menu. I also feel like it makes a nice keepsake.

@alicia1745:  I don’t think it’s NECESSARY if guests already know what they’re eating.  I’m trying to think if those who are allergic to certain things would like another opportunity to cross check before eating… 😛

I also like the idea of menus as part of your table decor.  If you’re trying to save money, what about one menu as part of the centerpiece?

Menus are one of those nice little touches that are completely unnecessary.

Ehh! My attitude is very much like that of apracticalwedding.com – you don’t HAVE to have anything. If you feel it’s unnecessary, don’t include it.

Ditto what everyone else said — nice touch, but definitely not necessary.

I designed my own and printed them (100 for $6) on VP (free offer, just paid shipping). If it had been more than $10, I probably wouldn’t have done them. I like them because they’ll be tucked in the white napkin on the white plate and break up the white on white with some color.

I didn’t… and I really don’t think anyone cared. I don’t think it matters unless your guests have options to choose from while sitting there. Otherwise… they know what they signed up for.

Yay! So glad everyone agreed that they are not necessary! I was going back & forth with it & Fiance said it’s definetely not necessary. His family is Italian and they have been to hundreds of weddings & have never even seen them.

I would still make at least 1 for each table with a short description of the food. You never know if someone has a food allergy or not.

Personally, I like to know what I’m waiting to eat so I like them 🙂
