I am considering ordering table number cards through Vistaprint or Zazzle. I was also going to order menu cards, but I wondered whether it might be cute to design the table number card to have the table number on one side, and the menu on the other? I’d be using the card number stands they have at my venue (a banquet hall), which are just basic metal card holder stands. I haven’t seen this done at other weddings, so I’m wondering if there’s a downside I’m not thinking of, or if it wouldn’t look good. Any thoughts? Thanks for any advice!

I would keep them seperate. Only because you will probably have a guests who gets to the table and goes “oh look the menu. Let me pick it up and read it” Then you have the whole rest of the guests assigned to that table wandering around the room wondering where table number 3 is. If you have even two or three tables where this happens you now have a lot of guests trying to find a table that has no number showing.

Are they tall stands or short? If they are short, I think this would totally work. I did something similar, I had a triangular stand with 3 sides – on one side I have the menu, on another info about the bridal party and on the other a quiz about the bride and groom, but I could have totally done one side with the table number. I also wrote info on the other side of our table number – I had the table name which was a place we had visited and then on the other I had a little story about our time there. this is what my stuff looked like:

don’t put the menu card too tall that it blocks people from seeing each other across the table.

Thanks for the helpful advice ladies. I’ll ask the hall how tall the holders are – if they’re fairly low, and I make sure the numbers face out so people don’t notice the flip side with the menu until they’ve been seated for a while, maybe it will work.
