michellia:  I wore one.

I removed half the layers because I wanted to more subtle look, and I had mine sewn in to the bottom so it was part of the dress. I was really happy with how it gave it just a little bit of shape at the bottom.

michellia:  thanks! I’m definitely going to wear one. Since the dress is on the plain side, no lace, no beading besides the belt I think the poof gives it a nice shape.

Mori Lee 5108 is the best! I went with a big ole hoop but my dress was also a bit too short, it was awesome for walking in but if I could do it again I would have had the hem two inches longer. Congrats!

michellia:  I am wondering if I should get a pedi coat foe under my dress too. I should be getting my dress back by next week from alterations so I’ll decide then. My dress is Mori Lee 6761 here are some pictures, alterations having been done in the pictures

michellia:  That first photo is a sz 14 and im a 6. So it looks almost like a sheath kind of dress. I’ll post some pictures after alterations ๐Ÿ™‚

What Mori Lee dress do you have if you dont mind me asking? Can I see a pic? ๐Ÿ™‚

michellia:  mine is the mori lee 5108, which several other bees have already posted to your thread! i’m an el cheapo bride, so i wanted minimal alterations. my slip was FREE (i got a full refund after complaining about a tear) but full price was only USD30 anyway. with the slip on, i only needed to trim 1 inch off my dress and it looked okay with my heels. it also gave me space to walk.

actually i use slip and hoop interchangeably, so i’m not sure what the difference is haha. mine was this:

hope this helps!

michellia:  Yes, the hem is being altered right now. I never thought of that :/  My seamstress said I won’t need a pedi coat-she is pulling it in under my butt to give it more of a flare. My shoes are 2 inch wedges (outdoor ceremony). So if all else fails, I’ll wear flats and get a pedi coat. Hopefully though, I won’t need it!!

You dress so stunning! So beautiful! You picked a good choice ๐Ÿ™‚ Mori Lee has amazing dresses!
