I recently ordered hot pink palm fans and custom imprinted ribbon with our names and wedding date to tie on them from Favorsandflowers.com (aka goodthingsweddingfavors.com). The rep suggested I order “Brilliant Pink” to match the fan color, and when they came, the font was totally PURPLE! In fact, it is an exact match for a color they list as “Periwinkle” on the item page.
I called them this morning to notify them of their error and they REFUSE to either refund my money OR reprint the order. They said it’s not a mistake and is what I ordered. Um, I ordered pink. I received purple. They generously offered to reprint the order at my cost with a 30% discount. WTF?!
They even said that the imprint probably came out purple because I ordered it on ivory ribbon instead of white (then why offer this ribbon color?). Then they suggested I move it back and forth in bright light and I will see it’s got pink in it.
I’ve been a graphic designer for over a decade. A) I know the differece between pink and purple and B) I am aware that colors don’t always print accurately
Official internet campaign = launched! I already filed a PayPal dispute and BBB complaint. Where is the appropriate Board on WeddingBee to post a review? I didn’t see a place to post within the vendor section.
Any other suggestions?
