Hello, my name is GreenBean and I have a problem. I’m messy. Not dirty mind you, just messy. There are shoes kicked off by my front door, sometimes dishes stay in the sink a few days, and that towel that needs to be washed? The floor is doing a damn fine job of holding it in a steady place for me. Thanks, Mr. Floor!

Thankfully the ways I am messy and the ways SO are messy are opposite, so we balance eachother out and between the two of us we manage to keep it fairly tidy. Now that we live together, we are both more motivated to stay tidy but we both work long, oddball hours and it doesn’t always happen. I tend to shrug it off and do a big clean on weekends, like you do (Sunday is officially chore day in our house!)

oh, I’m in the same boat (although not pregnant, congrats!). I’m naturally super messy as in just dropping things where I feel like it and being a hardcore procrastinator.

What I found out about me is that when I have a system that I like, I use it. I’m working on giving everything I own it’s place, which sucks because we don’t have much storage, but I gradually try to change things up. My closet is the bane of my existence because I never put my clothes away. It’s just too awkward/small and I know I need to come up with a solution, I just don’t know what it’ll be yet.

I try to organize things while thinking about how I use them. I had my nailpolishes the bedroom with my vanity, for example, but I always paint my nails in the living room while watching TV. Needless to say, they ended up all over the apartment. Now I keep them in a bin that goes into a shelf in the living room, much easier.
