When I think of airport gift shops I think of post cards. You could get post cards from what city/airport you were in when you met (I’m sure you could get online) or get post cards from places you have gone together and use those somehow as your table numbers.
Also could get some type of atlas for the guest book. I was also going to suggest paper airplanes for the place cards!
That is such a cute story though – I love it : )

Oh you could have the table numbers be the numbers for flight seats or different airlines!

Great ideas. I don’t think I have anything else. But I wanted to say your story is really adorable.

WOW!! Everyone is so creative!! Thanks for your awesome ideas. Way more than what I could come up with. I love the paper airplane bouquet idea, very clever. The atlas as a guest book is very cute and clever!
I LOVE the FRANK SINATRA first dance song COME FLY WITH ME!!! AWESOME!!! That’s perfect.
The "Love is in the air" idea is also so cute!
I’m so impressed with all your creative minds!

These are all really great ideas. Your story is very cute. The ones that first popped in mind were covered here and the arrangements flipflopbride found were really cute.

Have your wedding in an airplane hangar! You could probably find a small suburban airport to do it in-in my area we have at least 3 or 4 that would work perfect!

My ideas are on here already but I second the peanut bags for favors, and the table numbers wither being "terminal 1" or "flight 1" OR having each table be a different airport (especially ones you frequent, or have been to together)
SO much fun! I love the theme! I hope you post about the results of these ideas!
Of course, "Come fly with me" must be played.

I have always thought that this was creative! Instead of rice or bubbles, the guests threw paper airplanes.

Instead of a traditional guestbook, have guests write well wishes on a piece of vintage luggage. Or use luggage as a base to display your cake.

The first thing that popped into my head was to give each guest a set of wings. I don’t know if it would be possible to find some of these online but they could be cute/inexpensive favors

I’d say use the wings on escort cards and as favors. Peanuts are so fun! Maybe the instead of table numbers you do flight numbers. Your invites or save the dates can be place ticket style. Your location could be in an aerospace museum with planes or in a hanger. A more subtle way to bring it in could be that your "heart has wings" type of thing.
