@amazingbee:  I wouldn’t recommend either of these. You should be taking a multivitamin anyways, that should contain B12. You should also be eating natural things that boost your metabolism. Exercising will also boost it, as well as eating small meals throughout the day. I don’t ever suggest supplements to aid in weight loss.

Weightlifting boosts your metabolism by creating more lean mass, which at rest burns more calories than fat mass.

You certainly could get B12 injections, but since it’s a water soluble vitamin, you’ll likely excrete out what you don’t need or use.  I agree with PP that a balanced diet and multivitamin will supply more than enough B12 (among other vitamins).  <unless you have a vitamin absorption deficiency, or other medical condition preventing your intestines from doing their job, in which case seek medical advice before resorting to any injections>
