We’re getting married next year and i am looking for a song to walk down the aisle to 🙂
We are both metal heads who don’t listen to anything mainstream and we really want our wedding to reflect who we are (despite the fact that the family is going to hate it) .
We have a guy who will be singing and playing guitar for the ceremony and some of the reception so any songs you can think of that would sound amazing in a slower acoustic version would help
Current idea is Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters but not 100% sure if the lyrics work or not.

I’ll Be There by Megadeath
Love Walks in by Van Halen
For the recessional- Liberty by Steve Vai-delete the “heads Up” at the beginning
Together as One by Stryper- for a dance song

I was going to say Nothing Else Matters. 🙂

Ah love these ideas! Thank you! 🙂
We have our first dance song already which isn’t a metal song but very signigicant to the two of us!

Our recessional was Paradise City lol

Slashie: November Rain??
Have you considered just having the guitar player play the ceremony music without the singer??
I had a piano player for our recessional and processional and we played all rock songs as well. Most of our friends could recognize the songs. The rest of the family didn’t know them but they complimented the music.
We basically tried to make our wedding about us without “torturing” our guests…….

I think “The Piano Guys” do a couple covers of metal songs. No lyrics but the tunes are quite recognizable.

Highway to Hell ACDC?
lol, that was our recessional.

I had been thinking about Enter the Machine by Arch Enemy for my processional but decided it wasn’t long for how far I had to walk.
ETA: some other good ones:
This Fire – Killswitch Engage
Sleeping sun – Nightwish
Another day – Dreamtheatre
This world can’t tear us apart – Trivium

Love the megadeth idea. Anymore ideas with just acoustic instumental?
