So I went to a wedding in Dallas a couple of years ago and they served Mexican food and it was the most bland tasting Tex-Mex I had ever had. So just make sure that your company will have have the same amount of flavor when they are cooking for 100 versus one plate at a time!  If it will be tasty, then of course, fajitas are always welcome in Texas!!!!

Oh, another tip – go with refried beans instead of black beans! That way children can make bean burritos!

My sister did Mexican catering (from a popular Austin Tex-Mex restaurant) for her wedding reception and did empanadas, cerviche, and taquitos for her apps and a choice of different enchilada plates for her dinner (spinach, chicken, beef, etc.) w/all the sides and and open beer, margarita, tea/soft drinks bar. She had tres leches cake for her wedding cake, too (but not tiered….it is too soft). It was all delish and she got tons of compliments!

And her decor included both creme colored fresh roses and lots of succulents w/tons of candles. It went w/the natural/Tex Mex/Spanish theme beautifully!

I PM you however if it doesn’t open this is what I wrote.

That you could find the beverage containers in Tijuana , Mexicali, any part in Baja California even in the USA but they tend to run at $35 where I could get them for $10 .

Have you tried the swapmeets I know that some vendors where I live sell them for $15 but they are the plastic ones. I am wanting glass garafones I know they exist because my abuelita has them and they come with a lid.

Tell me how it goes…and what you purchased might want to go to their craft stores and see if they sell floating candles for less.

If you are having a candy buffet Mexicali Tijuana is the way to go where you can buy the dulce “candy” by the kilo.

Here is a picture of what I want my beverage table to look like, I need to buy the wreaths but I will purchase after Christmas when they are for 70% off at 1.00 a piece

I like the elegant look; however, what I love the best is that I love my Horchata and aguas frescas so this is a part of me that guest will see. Anyways soy de familia Mexicana so no wines for us PURO  TEQUILA , CORONA Y AGUAS FRESCAS!

oH  MY  A WEDDINGBEE- ER  THAT KNOWS tres leches!  Laughing   my  FH wants a tres leches pastel “cake” however it is 120 degrees so the cake would be more like smash hot mushy cake .

But I love it that you are using the TRES leches cake your guests will be in heaven and of course their kids will get a sugar rush .  Pero que siga la FIesta!

Word of Advice:
like our fellow bee stated “only experience tres leches baker would know” go to a CArdenas , Fiesta Food grocery stores they sell the best authentic tres leches done by 100% Latinos.

This sounds delicious!  I think chips and salsa during the cocktail hour and quesadilla would be delicious!

I’ve seen a really cool salsa bar that had a variety of cool chips, including fried plantain chips and blue corn chips. With a variety of salsas, in neat serving containers, it can look really festive and fun. The one I saw actually used terracotta planters with wheat grass in them as the decor and it was really cute.
