Yes check out “live aqua cancun” its great. It’s all inclusive five star hotel. It’s a new resort since 2012 I believe. Let me know what you think.

I’ve not been to Cabo, but have been to the Riviera Maya three times and love it; every time we stayed at 5* adult-only all inclusives (the Excellence Riviera Cancun; the Valentin Imperial Maya; and the Royal Playa del Carmen). There are a wealth of gorgeous 5* adult only hotels in the area; the top-rated one is probably Le Blanc, but there are literally dozens: the two Excellence Resorts, the Secrets chain, the El Dorado resorts, the IB Grand, Live Aqua, the Palace resorts (Sun Palace, Beach Palace, etc); the list goes on.

I’ve also heard good things about Cabo, and also Puerto Vallarta; Secrets Puerto Vallarta is actually on our short-list for our honeymoon.

If you’d like any information, just let me know and I’ll do my best to help ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re staying at Excellence Playa Mujeres in a two story suite with our own pool. The reviews are amazing! We were worried about safety and our travel agent told us Riveria Maya is the safest in Mexico.

I second what pp has said. We are going to Riviera Maya, Playa Del Carmen, where we have been before and it is magical! Very safe, beautiful, lots to do and amazing service.

I agree, go to Riveria Maya! We are getting married at The Beloved Playa Mujeres (Excellence’s sister hotel, because we are having kids attend the wedding) and then leaving for our honeymoon at Secrets Maroma Beach, which I’ve read is Secret’s top resort.

You get the most for your $$ in Riveria Maya and you won’t find better service anywhere!

My husband and I honeymooned at Sunset Beach in Cabo and it was absolutely stunning:) They also have a wonderful photographer there who took honeymoon pics for us. We paid $225 but got all the pics we wanted on a disc. Also, the staff there is so funny and there to please. We will be going back:)

I definitely think our resorts was one of the nicest in Cabo. We were able to drive by many of the others and ours seemed to be more honeymoon “material”. If you have any other questions let me know:)

I’m so jealous. I’ve been begging my husband to go to Riviera Maya but he refuses since he says is not safe. Mexico are the cheapest upscale resort place in the caribbean. I just daydream and price out trips to the caribbean and Mexico is always the cheapest and best bang for the buck.

How do I persuade him it’s safe and awesome?

@Saramina329:  I took Fiance to a travel agency who was really honest about the safety of everywhere we looked into. She told him Riveria Maya is totally safe but she won’t recommend any other part of Mexico due to Safety. There were over 2,000 reviews on the resort were going to and every review said it was unbelievable and very safe. Maybe try those and see what he says! I’ve been to Riveria Maya and it was safe but I’ve been to Jamaica and didn’t feel safe so he knew I was serious about Mexico.

Cabo is incredible! I wouldn’t recommend the place I stayed at there However. It was pretty but there are so many nicer resorts I would choose instead. One of the nicest and most well known resorts there is the One&Only Palmilla but it is very expensive. There are some other nice but more affordable options in Cabo San Lucas OR the midway point between San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. I absolutely loved both areas and we had amazing food and nightlife options in  Cabo San Lucas so the closer you stay to there, the better!

I would definitely reccomend Excellence Playa Mujeres!!  It’s right above Cancun, close enough if you want to venture out to enjoy the nightlife.  The people are amzing at the resort, and the rooms are beautiful! They have about 9 resturants to choose from, a beautiful beach, the spa is amazing, and like 7 pools/lazy rivers.

@MrsN14:  We got engaged at EPM last July and LOVED it so much we’re returning for our honeymoon!!  It is an amazing resort, we enjoyed every mintue of it. We were nervous at first about safety last year, but we had no issues.  The only thing I reccomend is a private shuttle to and from the airport.  We were on a shuttle with others staying in Cancun and since Playa Mujeres is above Cancun, we were the last stop… Took us probably double the time to get there.  Hope you enjoy it!
