@bbsoon2be:  When we were first planning for our wedding we were looking at Adventura Cove which was in Puerto Adventuras Mexico..it is also a Palace Resort and looked super nice. But since we had never been to Mexico before we decided on a place we had been before since we were bringing so many guests

I went to a destination wedding at the Grand palladium in the Mayan riviera…loved it so much that my Fiance and I are considering this as a place for our destination wedding. It’s a HUGE resort with something for everyone. Beautiful resort, and the wedding was amazing! I’ve been to Mexico 7 times now (I think) and it was one of my favorite resorts!

@bbsoon2be:  i would suggest the now jade.  it’s between cancun and playa del carmen.  i have personally been there 2x.  we went back for our mini-moon b/c it was so amazing the first time.

they are run under the same resort company (amresorts) as dreams and secrets so you know the quality is good.

weddings are big for them.  they know what they are doing.  when i was there in july, they had an average of 2 weddings a day.  i met one of the brides (and her family) and they were very impressed with the service.  the packages and prices are quite reasonable too.

let me know if you have any more questions.  i have a house only a few hours from that coast so i am very familiar with the area.  i am there all of the time and have been to many resorts.

We attended a Destination Wedding at the Gran Bahia Principe Akumal. Huge resort, family friendly, it is a great place with lots of bars and pools and activities for all ages. I can PM you a link to some photos of the day if you want!

I second Barcelo in the Mayan riviera.  That’s where we are getting married in June, it’s gorgeous. We got engaged at that resort and I’ve seen a few weddings there that looked great.

I should add a link too:

The resort has three locations connected, Akumal, Tulum and Coba. Each have their own pools and buffets and restaurants etc. and you can pick where to stay and where to have the ceremony. You can pick a beach wedding, my friend opted for the gazebo overlooking the beach as she didn’t want to trudge through the sand in her dress. The packages start at around $900 and up. There a few packages to choose from, most inclue the dinner and drinks, flowers, centrepieces, officiant, some photos, professional wedding planner etc!

Here is a couple pictures from my friend’s wedding: Group photo, the restaurant where the reception was held, and the ceremony location!

@bbsoon2be:  Sadly no photography included in the wedding packages. They do have resort photographers though but you need to book them separately.
