My Fiance and I are looking into honeymoon locations for January of 2015. Ideally we will be there for a week and spend $4000 total. I had my heart set on Mexico, but I am worried it may be a bit cooler than I would like. We want somewhere warm with clear blue water. Any bees been to Mexico in January? Was it warm enough?
Or any other fabulous honeymoon ideas? I’ve looked at Aruba and Antigua but flights are long and $700+ which seems a bit high.

Where are you flying from?
ETA: I creeped on your profile so I’ll assume Chicago 🙂

We’re going to playa del carmen next April, and looks like average temp for January is about 75 degrees, which isn’t hot, but certainly isn’t cold. Water temps are about 80 degrees.
one thing, if you go very early in January, prices will be high. Wait for everyone to go back to work and/or school and you’ll save a small fortune

I think it’s dependent on where you go. I’ve been to Cozumel in January with great weather. I went to Belize in January thinking it would be warm and it was overcast, rainy and cool most of the time we were there.

We were in Cabo on NYE! It was amazing during the day. It was kinda chilly at night and the water was colder when we went snorkeling but the pacific is usually colder so I wasn’t surprised. We really enjoyed it and would recommend going in January!
