@californiaraisin:  I just found it.  You need to go into your “goals” section there’s a button at the bottom to change goals, ie your umber of workouts etc.

The above is for the website, below is for the app.

Click on “…more” on the bottom right on the app

Then edit profile and scroll down to preferences.

@californiaraisin:  I figured it out.

The reason your net calories stay 1200 is because mfp wants you to eat back your exercise calories.

It sounds counter productive but your 1200 calorie net already has a built in weightloss, so if you eat back most or all of the calories burned you end up at 1200 calories even though you ate more.

Days you don’t exercise eat just the 1200cal

Days you exercise eat 1200 plus whatever you burn so that it nets 1200.

When you log your food for the day and then add in exercise it subtracts the calories burned from calories consumed. So if you don’t eat the, back you’d be consuming less then 1200.

Hope that makes sense. 🙂

@californiaraisin:  No problem!

Oh just a tip  when it comes to eating back calories.

MFP can sometimes over estimate the amount of calories burned during your workout. If you use a heart rate monitor then go by that, if not and you really want to make sure you dont go over your 1200net cal then trying eating back only 75-80% of the exercise calories.
