So I was scheduled to meet the baker for my FH’s groom’s cake on Sunday. 2 hours before the appointment she emailed to cancel saying she was sick and that she’d contact me this week to reschedule.
I emailed her mid-week to see if she was feeling better and ask if she wanted to reschedule. She hasn’t responded, hasn’t called…
I kinda want to email or call..we’re kinda on a time crunch..but I don’t want to be annoying..but I’m wondering if she forgot about me or just got a bigger client for our date and is blowing me off..

I said e-mail and follow up. However, I think you should call as your last e-mail failed to get through to her. Just call her up and just make sure she is doing ok and reiterate you sent her an e-mail and would like to reschedule.

Call the baker. Some people don’t have as much time to answer emails, doesn’t mean they’re not available. Don’t decide on them until you at least get to try the cake!

I voted email and follow up, but really what I wish I could have voted was “call and follow up” because I think its harder to avoid a phone call. If this is someone you really want to work with, then I’d call them up and get some answers. I’d also start researching a backup.
On the other hand I’m a big believer in not chasing vendors down. If they want my money, they’ll respond. I called and left two messages and filled out an online form for a dance lessons company… Haven’t heard back. You can guarantee that I will not contact them again!
Maybe it’s worth it to move on and find someone who appreciates your business a little more?!

I would call and follow up, too. Maybe she’s still sick?
