I am having almost the same problem. except she isn’t my Maid/Matron of Honor… THANK GOD!!! I was just told, if you don’t expect her to do anything, than you can’t be disappointment.” i don’t think this is good advice, but its all i’ve gotten, so i’m passing it onto you.

What does your mom say? because mine won’t even listent to me when i try to talk to her about finding a new bridesmaid

My sister is pulling similar crap, except that she insists I’m shutting her out of things. I’m like, yeah, I’m not going to give all the contact info for all of my BMs to you when you’ve already called one of my friends a “waste of air.” God only knows what she would do next time she got mad at me–probably send angry texts to all the BMs. She gets like that.

Don’t give her another chance. It seems like she doesn’t want it. You only get one shot at this, and I think it’s better to have some regrets about the family member that wasn’t there than to have regrets about the family member who was there and ruined your wedding.

I would give her her wish and tell her she doesn’t need to be Maid/Matron of Honor. If she doesn’t come, so be it. Its her choice, and hopefully years down the road she will feel like an ass for not being there. Why would you wnat her to be there complaining and acting like a bitch on your wedding day, because it will be all about you, and apparently she can’t handle that???

I am blessed to have an amazing sister. I was 25 and she was 19 when I got married, and she and my BFF were the biggest help during planning, more than anyone. She even made me a scrapbook of the bridal shower and some wedding pics she took while we were on our honeymoon and gave it to me when we got back.  She was so excited for me to get married, and never ever said anything hurtful.  I really wish I could lend out my awesome family to some of the bees, it really makes me upset to see so many family issues…
