So my fiance and I were planning our date for June 2019 and we booked some vendors but some family matters occurred so we are pushing it to October of 2019. All the vendors we have reached out to in regards to the date were responsive except for one, our photographer. I have emailed on as well as text with no response – I have also called and the voicemail was full. I realize vendors are human and life happens but I’m now considering firing this photographer and looking elsewhere. I really don’t like the idea of trying to chase them down for a response but I’m just not sure how to go about this so any advice would be extremely helpful

How long ago did you email the photographer about he date change?

I emailed on 9/19 and sent a few follow up messages so it’s been about two weeks.

Would you lose a lot of money if you switched photographers?
I would e-mail again with a deadline on when you need to hear back from them by.
Hope all is well. As per my e-mail sent on 9/19, we have changed our wedding date from June to October 2019. I understand by changing our date that you may no longer be available to photograph our wedding. If I don’t hear back from you by 10/8, I will assume you are not able to serve as our photographer and will book another vendor.”
Re-read your contract to make sure you’re not on the hook to pay them if you cancel before sending the e-mail, though.

- Wedding: November 2019 - Canada
I agree with bostonbee2018 :
. 2 weeks is plenty of time to get in touch with you, so I would email a follow up with a deadline to respond before canceling your services. If you have given them a deposit, are you willing to forfeit that?

Given that the busy wedding season is now over, your photographer may have gone on holiday. If you’ve had no communication issues before from them. Give them another week then call.
