Would you lose a lot of money if you switched photographers?

I would e-mail again with a deadline on when you need to hear back from them by.

“Hi Photographer,

Hope all is well. As per my e-mail sent on 9/19, we have changed our wedding date from June to October 2019. I understand by changing our date that you may no longer be available to photograph our wedding. If I don’t hear back from you by 10/8, I will assume you are not able to serve as our photographer and will book another vendor.”

Re-read your contract to make sure you’re not on the hook to pay them if you cancel before sending the e-mail, though.

bostonbee2018 : . 2 weeks is plenty of time to get in touch with you, so I would email a follow up with a deadline to respond before canceling your services. If you have given them a deposit, are you willing to forfeit that?

Given that the busy wedding season is now over, your photographer may have gone on holiday. If you’ve had no communication issues before from them. Give them another week then call.
