I have 100 out of town guests coming, and I would like to have them all in the same hotel. Also, I would like to have all of the wedding events at that same hotel or within walking distance. Does anyone have recommendations? Beach area would be preferable.
Please let me know all of your experiences with the people from the different places? Anyone good to work with, anyone stike you as strange or difficult?
Also, I have heard that October can be a difficult month to get a venue. Is it really that popular in Miami, and how far in advance should I book for an October wedding?

I don’t have venue advice, but my suggestion is that as soon as you find somewhere you love, you really should book it. October is a busy month for weddings, and I imagine in Miami, it would be just as tough, since the temperature would have dropped a bit to a more temperate climate.

Thanks 🙂 I have heard to book early. Our wedding is still over a year away, and we were hoping to stockpile some money soon. I was wondering how long we should go before putting it on credit before we lose our opportunity.

@WhiteViolet: I went to a wedding last October that was at The Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne and we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne but many guests stayed in the Brickell area which is very close and right on the water. It had great ocean views and skyline views.

Thank you for the recommendation!
I am hoping to book sooner rather than later. Thanks for confirming that info!!

@WhiteViolet: Being from Miami and recently had my wedding there….I would suggest to start checking out venues. If you find the one you love and it’s availalble for your date then book it. Many places are booked months and months ahead and prices tend to increase. Miami isn’t the easiest of places to look for venues but I’m sure you can find one. Also, if you don’t like any then I would highly recommend checking out Broward County especially around Ft. Lauderdale.
