We are planning a wedding for April 2020, the ceremony will be at a church, and we were thinking about getting a Wedding Package for an all inclusive reception hall at a hotel or resort in Miami close to Coral Gables. We will have 70-100 guests. Our Total budget for the wedding is around $20K ( but would love it to be lower if possible at all
)
Has anyone had or planning their wedding at a Hotel in a Miami that you absolutely loved and can recommend? How much did the venue rental cost?
we would like to have an indoor reception, so the place does not need to be close to the beach.

We didn’t go with these options, but two that we really loved and considered were the Betsy Hotel and the Confidante!

thetulle : thanks for your reply, I will definitely check them out. Though, I am wondering whether there is an up charge for these hotels just because they are in Miami Beach. Since my fiancé and I are not particularly interested in being close to beach, we are trying to stay away from places that are in South beach, Miami Beach or close to the beach in order to avoid unnecessary premiums. Plus we would prefer having an indoor reception.

Try the Coral Gables Women’s Club. It is not all inclusive but I expect they have a list of preferred caterers that you could talk to. It’s beautiful and pretty affordable for the area.

zl27 : thanks for your reply. I will check them out. Any hotel you may know of in the area that offers wedding packages? Ours is a destination wedding so we were thinking that perhaps if we could just have our reception at a hotel, they will give us discounts on hotel rooms for us and our wedding party as well as discounts on catering and decoration and everything that goes with the wedding.
And with us living far away from Miami, perhaps one all inclusive package would also keep us from having the headache of looking and coordinating with multiple vendors also.

All hotels with meeting space offer wedding packages. There are tons of websites that can help you identify them – Yelp, wedding wire, here comes the guide, etc.

Ours was a destination wedding too…we went with Kimpton Surfcomber and it was amazing. We didn’t feel like we paid extra for a South Beach location at all.
We had the ceremony, reception and after party all at the hotel and got some heavy discounts on rooms too. Our package included venue hire and all the furniture we’d need, catering, open bar, wedding cake, hair & makeup…it was insane, we literally had nothing to arrange outside of photographers, music and an officiant.
They also had indoor areas that we toured in case it rained on us, they were pretty nice too.

onion2803 : thank you for the info! If you don’t mind me asking, how many guests did you have and how much did Kimpton Surfcomber hotel charge you for the reception?
How much did you pay for the whole package?

Nodame : no problem. We had 25 guests and our total was just over $6k for everything. They cater to much bigger events usually though. The food was incredible and we had an open bar inc champagne for entire event, our room was also included. Wedding cake was through a vendor and they just paid for it. Same with hair and make up. The website should still have all the wedding details and costs x
