Wow I’m happy I found this post! We were willing to shell out about the same amount as you for one of those. I hope the Michaels near us has those in stock!

Love it! I was thinking about this too!  How did you find a calligrapher? I wouldnt even know where to begin to look for that. That’s a fantastic idea.

@Mrs.Darling:  Just curious what part of the store you found this? I’m assuming with the wedding stuff?

Looks great! I would totally use these in another project- I’m thinking to get one for my students to sign at the end of the year for the principal and nurse. I paid almost $100 for our custom thumb print tree. It is 16×20 completely hand drawn on archival parchment and is gorgeous but I thought of it as a work of art that I plan on keeping and displaying for years so to me it was worth the money and my way of justifying to Fiance.

@Mrs.Darling:  Mine has it! My only problem with it is that the bottom where the names and date should go looks a lot shorter than what is pictured… I can’t imagine there’s enough room! I’m not sure if the batch at my store is maybe just an example of poor quality control?

I don’t know… I have to show it to Fiance and see what he wants to do. We may go with buying a snazzy one from Etsy. Thanks for the offer to ship one to me! That was so nice!

What is the size of the print?  Do they offer different sizes or only one?

These trees are new to me, I’ve never seen one at a wedding, but I think it’s a cute idea! I already bought a guestbook, but I can have both, can’t I? What about the ink though, doesn’t it stain the guests fingers? Would I just supply Kleenex to wipe it off? I’m going to check out Michaels this weekend 🙂 Yeah coupons!
