Yeah, Michael’s isn’t a good spot for vases, but I like to use those 40% off coupons for my yarn for knitting projects. I get a great deal!

I will only buy gift wrap and gift bags from dollar tree. I stock up a couple times a year, and the hubs won’t even say anything cuz he knows I am getting it so cheap!  They have all kinds of stuff, we got a lot of our vases from there, and we were going to get our dinnerware for the wedding from there too, but we ended up finding a caterer who brought their own

Michaels rape us DIY/Crafters! Never go in there w/o a coupon!

Oh and if you decide on using the Square vases from Dollar Tree, you can buy online in bulk! Might be easier for you, than hunting down the quantity you would need!

I’ve been searching all my local Dollar spots, and actually have found some KILLER deals on vases, which I plan to start purchasing little by little now til the wedding!

Best of Luck!

I bought print yourself invitations at Michael’s, but only because I had 40% off coupons for all of them! I’m only spending $85 on invites (minus ink and postage). There’s no way I would ever pay full price for their products, and I’m also using dollar store vases!

I rarely shop at Michaels anymore. The only time I go in there is if Joanns is out of an item and I am desperate to have the item(s). They are way too expensive, they only accept one coupon per transaction, and they don’t accept coupons on some of their items that Joanns gladly accepts coupons on.

I so wish I had a Dollar Tree here! We have chepo shops but they are still pretty expesive. I want those square vases and the cheapest I can find them anywhere here is about $8 each or buy or $4.95 to hire! No fair!

For anyone who didn’t know this, Michaels accepts A.C. Moore coupons and vice versa.  A.C. Moore usually sends out 50% off coupons so its a little better than Michaels 40% off.

Every dollar counts when your wedding planning!

@futuremrshc: That might work but they 1) might not ship to Australia and 2) If they do it most likely will work out to be just as/if not more expensive with shipping. Le sigh 🙁

@Miss Tattoo: What kind of money  does Michael scam brides out of ?! If the dollar tree is seling a better vase for $1 , and they obviously are making a profit , then how much of a profit is Michael’s making over a cheaper vase that they sell for nearly 5 times as much as the dollar tree?! :/ I hate the retail industry sometimes.

O and also ladies , I took a look at their website ,  they have alot of options for  only a dollar:

Etched Glass Cylinder Stem Vases, 9½Etched Tapered Glass Stem Vases, 9½both are 9 1/2 in.

Glass Cylinder Vases, 7¼7 1/4 in.

Glass Hurricane Stem Vases, 6½6 1/2 hurricane vase

and then smaller jars like Miss. Tattoo’s.

Dollar tree has my business! I didn’t think I was going to be able to afford the centerpieces I wanted b/c  I needed too many vases and couldn’t find 9 in. ones for less than $8 a pop.  Until now, yay 😀 Thanks Miss. Tattoo!

The Dollar Tree is amazing for all sorts of events. It’s where I buy almost everything for parties and holidays. Totally love it. Great find, though. I was at a few craft stores this past week and couldn’t believe prices. Absolutely ridiculous.

If you don’t have a Dollar Tree in your area, look for a store called Deals.  They are owned by the same company and have many of the same products.  They also offer bulk ordering, ship to store.

Personally, I start my crafting trips at Hobby Lobby.  By far, the best prices in my area.  They actually rent fully decked out wedding arches starting at $40.  I am thinking about this instead of buying one.

I rarely go into Michael’s anymore, but I still go into Joann’s because of the variety of products.

I’m getting TONS of stuff from Dollar Tree. Officiallly my favorite store! You can get some AWESOME deals at Dollar Tree!! The purple satin ribbon that I’m tying into a sash on my wedding dress? Dollar Tree. My ring-bearer pillow? Dollar tree (however, I did take off the ribbon they had on it, and put my own stuff on it to match my wedding).
