I googled “redwood elopement”, and a lot of pics have formal gowns:
it is a perfectly beautiful dress and wil look amazing in a rustic setting . Even better than in a formal venue I think. Add a flower crown and you will look like The Queen Of The Forest !
ETA oh and f**ck your friend who laughed.
I know someone who wore this dress and it is just amazing! It has everything If you ask me!
I think it will look absolutely gorgeous in the redwoods! Ultimately, it’s important that you’re wearing what you love and feel like a bride in.
We also were originally going to have a larger wedding, but have scaled back to something very small at a park in the city followed by a restaurant reception. And you bet I’ll be wearing my gorgeous ball gown I fell in love with!
Your “friend”‘s comments do not even make sense to me. If you had a large wedding, there would still likely be photos of just you and the groom – and even likely outdoor photos – but somehow it being an elopement changes things?
The dress is beautiful, and has a very romantic/bohemian vibe to it that will work wonderfully amongst the redwoods. Plus at an elopement you get to do anything you want 😉
Enjoy your dress, enjoy your wedding, and have a wonderful marriage.
songbird11:Â I don’t mean to laugh but I can’t get over it – you have my all time dream dress. I have been staring at this dress since I was freshly graduated from college. When I finally got engaged, I looked EVERYWHERE for it and couldn’t find it used or discontinued or anything. I bought a different dress and always would google the marina in the hopes I could buy one last minute!!Â
So I would say no – it won’t look bad in an elopement – it’s the most gorgeous dress I’ve seen and I’d wear it to get married ANYWHERE!! hahaÂ
Enjoy your wedding – I will eagerly be awaiting your recap photos and drooling over how gorg the dress is!!Â
songbird11: I think it’s really cool! So fun to see a unique style for a change. I think it’ll look great at your locations!
That dress is going to come alive and be gorgeous with the redwoods as a backdrop. What an awesome location!
songbird11 : Fiance and I are eloping to the redwoods in December, and I am glad you posted this! I’m in the process of finding a dress now. Your dress is lovely and based on my research, I have seen just about every type of gown from very bohemian/nontraditional, tea length, to lace A-Lines, or full on ball gowns. Your dress has a nice whimsical look to it and I think it will be amazing in the redwoods.
Orchid71 : Thank you so much, Orchid71. I hope you have an amazing time dress hunting! <3
songbird11 : It is an unusual dress…but I think it will look really quaint in the redwoods. Forest wedding pics are usually stunning. I wouldn’t worry at all, just enjoy your favorite dress.
songbird11 : Don’t pay attention to the negative comments made by your friends. If she had never said anything, would you have thought anything of it? Lots of people take pictures outdoors in their full wedding gowns and no one tells them it looks silly. An elopement should not matter. No one includes a crowd all their wedding photos anyway.
songbird11 : I love that dress exactly as much as I hate your “friend” which is a lot.
Wear the hell out of it 🙂 and post pics!
I’d wear that dress to work, if only to be able to say I wore it. That’s one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever seen. Don’t miss this opportunity to wear it. It will be amazing.
If I didn’t already have a dress I’d tackle you and steal it right off of you!
It’s gorgeous, and I think it will look very pretty on your big day!
