    Hiya Nicola

I have done 2 treatments of microdermabrasion (along with 2 other treatments) so far and I have LOVED the results. My skin was immediatly smoother after the treatment, it was quite a difference. I have been getting 1 a month since May, I had one last week, my 3rd one is at the beginning of July and my 4th one will either be a week or so before the wedding, or a couple days before – depending on my skin

I have been highly recommending it to my friends and family I love it so much!

Even after the first one my face was noticably different, however I know its more beneficial to have more of them. if you were interested how far along in advance before the wedding were you thinking of getting it done?

After my first treatment my face was fine and could have done out right after, on my second treatment my skin was flaky in a few areas so be cautious of that (your face can react different) cause you dont want flaky dry skin before your wedding

I’ve been going monthly for microderm. since November- love it.

My skin is naturally pretty "normal", and the benefits I have seen include increased "glowiness", smoother complexion, and some fine lines (forehead) are minimized!

How far out before the wedding is it recommended for the first treatment – I was thinking a month perhaps?

I have been wondering whether or not I should try this. I have like UBER sensitive skin and mild acne, though (usually around my period – fun, right?). Has anyone with my type of skin had good results from the treatment?

I vote "well worth it" and wanted to add that I do it myself at home with the Olay kit. It’s great! Just be sure you do it a few days before anything major because the first time can leave your skin red for a day after.

If you’re worried about the results of a professional treatment, Origin’s has a product called Modern Friction, which works very well.  Not as fast as a professional treatment, but still very effective.

@Kittyachi – I also have super sentitive skin, but I have had no issues so far (my 3rd treatment is next week and I am so excited!)

Heres the deal, It litrally feels like you are getting licked by a cat lol. Sure your face can feel a little raw aferwards but in no way does it get irritated etc. Maybe a couple of days later I had a bit of skin flaking but thats about it, and I conqoured that quite easily with Kiehls Centella recovery skin salve….its amazing. I have actually started to use it daily and my skin is rediculously smooth and soft and no flakys!

I still highly recommend it. My skin is glowing and I have never seen it like this before! If anyone has any questions I am always around! I will vouch for it!

I didn’t microdrem a few years ago and LOVED it… I know some ppl react differently to it, like their face gets really red and sensitive. I would do your first treatment soon so you know how you react.

Yes! I’ve been meaning to post about this and always forget 🙂

I love it, my skin is so smooth after – I call it sandblasting for my face.  I am getting it done once a month for what will have been 6 months before the wedding.  My last appointment is scheduled for a week before the big day –

Yeah I have done this treatment apround 6 months ago. I got many benefit from it. It helps me to get more smooth and soft. It removes wrinkles, darkheads, blackheads, scars. I get instant effect of this process. It has no side effects. It is only done at upper layer of skin.

I’ve tried the at-home kits, like the Olay Microdermabrasion & Peel. Also the Avon one in the twist dial tube (my fave!) & they are both amazing- my skin feels like butter after.

I really, really want to try the pro treatments though, just thought I’d throw in an alternative.

I just had my first treament of microdermabrasion last night and thought it was great!  I haven’t reacted adversely to it at all.  The skincare the beautician used (and gave me little samples of to take home) have made my skin feel lovely.  She also gave me a head, neck and shoulder massage and a face mask afterward, and I could feel myself nodding off!!

I will be going for 5 more treatments over the next 10 weeks, and will probably go again 2 or 3 more times before the wedding so my skin will be in tip-top shape.  I couldn’t recommend it more!
