What part of the state?  Florida is huge.  November is usually still warm enough to hit the beach and it will be less crowded.  Destin, St. Petersburg, St. Augustine, all good beaches across the state.

Marco island on the gulf coast is really nice for a more laid back vacation. Miami is great for better restaurants and shopping but will be much more money and too many people for me. Marco also has more sealife, like sand dollars and starfish, a nice eat in movie theater, etc. You can also rent a condo for cheap if you’re interested in cooking for yourself.

LavenderBride24:  Sanibel is really great, but November might be just a touch too chilly for the water (could be great though, it is really a toss up in November). I would go to Miami so you can do the beaches if it is warm enough, and if not, there are still a ton of fun things to do in Miami or the Everglades.
