I think you could write our your whole names, i.e. “… Heather Marie Smith to Michael Jacobson” or whatever it is. That way it’s also clear whose parents are whose. I agree that it might look weird to have “Heather Marie to Michael.”

Hmmm… I think I’d probbaly put your full name (first, middle & last) in cuz you’re sort of the show pony of the day anyway (hehe!) and Its not a big deal to not have a middle name.

Its all about spacial issues for me, i like things to layout nicely on the invite so I’m actually running into the opposite problem you have: My fiance has TWO middle names lol

but its okay! my first name combats his combined names and the space works out nicely when centered on the invite in the right font:

Kimberly Anne Ward

Mark James John Tucker

Definitely have your LAST name… use that thing while it lasts! Wink

@stillme:  agreed.

We have a similar situation: he has a nice middle name, and I don’t (but I usually go by a nickname anyways). I used this format for our Save-The-Date Cards and will also use it for our invites:

GROOM Middle Lastname
Bride “NICKNAME” Lastname
Invite you to share & celebrate our love as we exchange vows of marriage….

With the bolded/caps in a MUCH larger font. That way people know who we are, but it looks balanced, despite my lack of a middle name and the fact that I never use my first name.

Are his parents contributing half the funds? If not, you can solve your whole problem by moving them to a more traditional place:

Mr. and Mrs. Your Parents
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
son of Mr. and Mrs. His Parents
