In my personal opinion, Holly Marie flows much better. Who cares if it’s cliche if it’s what you like. I always said that even if Sophia was ranked the #1 most popular name for girls if I got pregnant, I would still name my daughter that because I like it. And being that it’s your grandmother’s and sister’s middle name, is an even better reason not to worry if a lot of people have it. I also like keeping the tread of similar middle names..like Ann and Marie. My mom gave my sister and I both 3 syllable names which I think flows nicely. I also think there’s too many L’s in Holly Aldina. And, again, in my opinion, I don’t care for the middle name to have more syllables than the first name.

OP, what about Aldina Marie?
I just think it’s such a beautiful and unique name, I’d use it as the first name.

Also, do you plan on having more kids? I’m saying them both outloud and I feel like ‘Marie’ is actually a really good middle name for Holly. For example, Holly Ann doesn’t flow..Holly Lynn doesn’t flow..Holly Hope doesn’t flow..Holly Rose..ehh, not really. So what I’m trying to say is if I was to name my daughter Holly, I would give her Marie as a middle name. It’s not as common now as it was years ago. And even if it is, who cares, it sounds beautiful.

princesslex13: No more unless we have a serious “oops!” 🙂 This will be our second and last.
SoonAsYouCan: I agree that does sound pretty…but Holly is most definitely going to be the first name. We are more willing to come up with other middle names than change the first. Thanks for the suggestion though. It really does sound nice!
