I met with a florist today that I thought I wanted. I took in pictures of my dress, the look I was going for, the certerpieces I like, and a bouquet I wanted. I told him no roses and no callas. I also said I want all white except for black details on my dress and my bouquet.
Well, he tells me that my budget is no problem and he can do the centerpieces I like. However, he doesn’t think he can get ranunculus for my bouquet and he’s afraid of using berries in bridal bouquets (I can understand this). He pretty much told me no ranunculus and started trying to find other options: stock, mums, orchids, hydrangeas, stephanotis, casablanca lilies, carnations, freesia, and gerberas. That and he keeps pushing for spray roses, orchids, and stephanotis and adding black throughout the reception.
I put a deposit down, just in case, but I think I may have to find someone else. You can see the bouquet I want (and I didn’t know ranunculus was so hard to get) at this link:
