So, I have been thinking a lot about where I wanted to be at my age. I’m 32 now and while I am happily married and planning my renewal, I also work out of the house running my own business. My business is doing well but I feel like I’m missing something.
So I am planning to enroll in college to get a BA in Environmental Science. I’m really nervous and I hope I get accepted as it will be great to have a degree. As soon as I am accepted, I have a plan to get a job at a local theme park with their Wildlife Conservation and working with all the animals. I already kinda have a foot in the door there since my husband works at the park and I am good friends with some of the zoo staff. I could probably get the job now with my background but I want the degree so I can work hand in hand with the big animals like the wolves.
I’m really excited at the idea of going back but still terrified at the prospect that this is a big step for me. So please think good thoughts for me that I get accepted!

That is awesome! I am the same age as you and have recently toyed with the idea of going back to school, so it’s very inspiring of hearing of someone my age doing just that! Working with animals seems like an awesome job.

I am one of the youngest people in my BA program at 25. Most of the women that I go to school with are in their 30’s and 40’s (but it’s a particular program that is just for Women, and all classes are taken on Saturdays). Everyone I know that has gone back has said it was the best decision they made for themselves!
Good for you for taking that next step in your education!
