Well, people are who they are. No point in getting so worked up over it, just keep your distance and a sense of humor about it.

ETA: I have a crazy Mother-In-Law too, sometimes the only way of keeping sane is to just smile and go to your happy place. You can’t change it, so don’t let it affect you in a negative way. You can’t change what your mom is going to think either. It’s out of your control.

Yikes!!  That is pretty crazy. But I’m sure your family has gotten to know your Darling Husband and love him for the same reasons you do! But mental note – never give any personal financial information to MIL!

lol, thats a little funny! But in all seriousness, maybe your Mother-In-Law (who is obviously a little crazy) has no social skill, and used this as a bonding mechanism. Regardless of why she did it, I really don’t think it means she is incapable of being a trustworthy grandma. Unless of course there are other stories, where she is harming someone.

Hopefully this gets better for you. Just try and accept her for who she is. Afterall, thats your husbands mother. And as a mother myself, I know my future daughter in law (assuming my son is straight and gets married on day) may not always like me, but I hope she respects me, and my role in my sons life.
