   seraphina :  say no.

My prev Mother-In-Law took my toddler  OUT of the country. Without permission. And no ID. Granted it was 1995. But I was livid! She also put him.on medication from the doctor without contacting me.

She also told my son to call her MOM.

They are your children. You set the bar. Be strong.

seraphina :  Honestly, you know what you need to do. This isn’t the relationship for you. Are you married? You refer to her as your Mother-In-Law but your baby’s father as your boyfriend? If you aren’t married you need to get yourself to an attorney and get a custody order in place. Then you need to kick him out and move on with your life. Yes, he will likely get some custody as well – and at that point you can’t really stop him from taking your child to see his parents…but the constant drama in your life needs to end.

DoubleD :  ?  I said: “Woah.  I didn’t think asking to take her was a big deal but… oh dear.”  I guess I could have fleshed that out a little more to: “Woah, your kid’s grandmother is crazy.  I didn’t think asking to take her on a trip was a big deal but with the additional information… oh dear, this lady and situation are a hot mess.”

2. Continue to only have conversations over text. Something you can have screenshots of.
