@KhaleesiStormborn:  You’re not being a jerk! Do you have another TV? My SO loves watching TV through the night, but he watches it in the lounge room, then comes to bed when he’s ready. If I were you, I’d put my foot down and tell him no TV in the bedroom. Your boyfriend is being really inconsiderate.

We don’t have TV or Computers in our bedroom, and for the most part, we go to bed together. I can’t sleep without him, so it’s a good thing, too!

Yup. And we have hard and fast bedtime rules because of it. OP – I suggest standing firm and really setting guidelines. Sleep is too important not to!!

We also have a king sized memory foam mattress and separate blankets. That has worked wonders! I still occasionally go sleep in the guest bedroom if he wakes me up, though. I keep an extra charger, pillow, etc etc in there so all I have to do is stand up, walk down the hall, and sink back into bed.

We stopped feeling guilty or weird about not sharing stuff at bedtime a long time ago. Life is too short to not sleep well!

I love my hunny but some times I just can’t fall asleep next to him. He won’t fall asleep unless I fall asleep first because he likes to watch me and hold me He also is a major cuddler, like to the point where I can’t move because I’m in a bear hug all night, but I like to roll around at night. I also sleep with 1 blanket and keep my room at about 65 degrees, he sleeps with 10 blankets and keeps the room at a high of 55 degrees, (it’s embarrassing in hotels). Anywho, he left for his summmer military training last week and we don’t live together yet so I thought it’d be special if I slept over before he left. Not a good idea. I did not sleep at all, as usual, I was trapped in a bear hug overheating between the blankets and body heat from him, plus he was drooling on me… But I was afraid to move because I didn’t want to wake him up since he had to be out the door at 4:30 am, I was so uncomfortable! I hope these things get easier in time….

Our worst night sleeping together was on my birthday last year, we stayed at a hotel in the cities (as in St. Paul/Minneapolis), and he woke up with a shiner… whoops, accidentally sleep punched him… (no lie, it was an accident!) I guess my sleeping mind was saying back off…
