I’m a USAF wife. I don’t really want to say too much about what he does because his field is very small. We started dating our senior year of high school and have now been together for 6 years, married for almost a year and a half. We dated for 3 years before he joined, got engaged in June of 09 the weekend he graduated from basic. We were long distance for a little over 2 years while he was in his year long tech school and at his first base (I was home still finishing my degree). We got married in Oct 10. In November 10, we found out we were moving overseas.

Now, we are stationed in England and loving it. We’re expecting our first baby next month, a little girl. She was more than a little bit of a surprise, but that’s okay.

I’m a newbie military wife. We were married by a JOP in July, and married in front of our friends and family in October. Darling Husband is in the Army, but not for much longer! His official release date is set for August 18, but we’re hoping for sooner! His unit is deploying in May, so he won’t be going with them (thank goodness!), but the Army still sent him to a month of training at Ft. Irwin…. ugh. They took away their phones so it’s officialy been 2 weeks with no contact! Only two more weeks to go though πŸ™‚

I am a USAF fiance! Fiance is a missile operations officer. Currently we are in a LDR, he is stationed in Cheyenne, WY and I live in Tampa, FL. We met last year…of all places….at a club in Vegas while we were both at bachelor/bachelorette parties! It was truly love at first sight! I am moving to WY in May (YES!) once I finish grad school which is the only thing keeping me here right now! We are having a small civil ceremony when I get there (May 15th!) and then a big wedding next year, May 11, 2013. I am anxiously awaiting his next visit here, which will happen next month, because he has my ring and I’m finally going to get to wear it!

@AubByAub:  Not gonna lie either, England is pretty freaking sweet. A lot of people don’t like it here, but Darling Husband and I both love it. It’s an awesome opportunity to do something we wouldn’t get to normally do. Although, we have already decided our next base will be back in the states. It’s rough being this far away from our families with a baby on the way.

Yeah, graduation was really weird… I just remember feeling so out of place and being SO worried that I was going to do something I wasn’t supposed to and it would get Darling Husband in trouble.

Hi. I’m marrying into the Navy in May! My Fiance is CEC. He’s currently deployed with the Seabees but is coming home soon to start shore duty at Naval Base Ventura County, California. I’m so excited just to have 2 years with him, the fact that we’re living in SoCal just makes it sweeter.

We’ve been together about 8 years, mostly LDR though. I’m Canadian so it is a big deal for me to move to the US with him. I move in about 3 weeks! (not an OPSEC violation, I promise)

Hi ladies!

I love this thread! I love learning about all of the other military bees!!

My husband and I have been married for about a month and a half! He is currently at bootcamp for the Marines… he says that training is INSANE, but he seems like he’s getting used to it πŸ™‚

I am currently in undergrad, trying to keep myself busy while he’s in training, but lately I have really been feeling as though I want to join the military as well; it isn’t something I ever thought I would be able to do, but he is truly my inspiration. He believes in me 100%, and that’s helping me to believe in myself.

Ideally, I would like to finish up my degrees in Communication and Spanish and apply to OCS for the Marines after graduation. I want to be a Public Affairs Officer! I just have to work my tush off every day from now until then to get in that kind of shape!
