my man and i are both military brats and now hes in the military himself!  even though the military has been such an integral part of our lives, we’re not doing a military wedding.  hes not into the idea of wearing his uniform (nor are some of his groomsmen!  lol) even though i agree with you ladies, they do look hot in uniform!  πŸ˜‰

i am going to be a military bride!  We were planning on 10-10-10 and then I droped out of college and made up my mind to Aim High.  We are waiting until after I get done with tech school before we get married.  Or at least thats the plan I am still waiting on my ship date to basic.

I’m a military bride πŸ™‚ Navy to be exact!

He’s isn’t going to wear his uniform, but I’m getting a US Navy themed garter as a suprise for him!

military bride here–proud fiancee of a sailor (:

we’re having a semi-military wedding: arch of sabers, FH & his men in uniform, little things like that, but not the whole she-bang. i’m excited but still confused with military protocol. FH tricked me and said i had to find someone to sing the national anthem at the wedding–i freaked out and ventured out to two days worth of work to find someone to sing it–and then he laughs and says “just kidding!”. what a guy. lol

I will be a military bride πŸ™‚ We met a few weeks before he was deployed and he proposed a year after he returned from tour on valentine’s day (as a way to make up for missing the last one lol). I’m really proud of him but we aren’t having a military wedding. We both wanted a beach themed wedding and his dark green dress uniform doesn’t exactly match lol πŸ™‚

Military bride here! I gave Fiance the choice to wear his dress blues (Marine – yum!) but when i thought about it, I would prefer the tux.  He’s deploying in November, and I would rather not spend the entire night thinking about it.  I was in the Air Force and we joke that if he wears his uniform, I’m going to wear mine as well.  J/K of course!

It was a hard decision, but the military theme didn’t mesh with our venue. I LOVE LOVE military wedding pics and wanna see more!

@Bella – That is a cute idea! I might have to borrow it from you if you don’t mind πŸ™‚

I’m a military bride too! Air Force, represent. lol. Fiance refuses to wear his blues. I told him it was his decision and he could wear whatever he wanted. He told me that he has to wear it too much already, lol. He hates dressing up, but he loves tuxes. When we went to Prom in HS, he spent all night talking about how he felt like James Bond. Yeah, he totally digs the tux.

@Zippylef – James Bond..that made me laugh!  I don’t blame the guy for not wanting to wear those horrible uniforms lol.  I’m sure you’ve heard the term “used car salesman”  If he wears a tux, you might be in for a night of this pose:

LOL – I’m sure you two will have a blast Laughing

In about 6 months, I will be an AF Bride!  My Captain will wear his Mess dress and there will only be 1 groomsman wearing his as well.  No sabres, though.  I’m thinking we will have nice looking pictures because of the uniforms.  Kiss

I will be an Army bride! I posted another post yesterday about this, but I think we’ve decided to have a small civil ceremony for just the two of us (which I think is utterly romantic) on Memorial Day weekend, and then next fall (if deployment schedules allow) have a big wedding for our families.. I already have the dress for the big wedding, so we HAVE to do both lol.. I’ve heard plenty of stories about couples who have gone this route and then never had the big wedding, but I think it’ll be so romantic to have the private ceremony where we can just focus on each other and then have all our families come together for the big wedding when money and time allows.. Plus, like someone said on another post, not many people get to marry the man of their dreams twice!! πŸ™‚

My Fiance is in the CG and will be wearing his whites for our wedding. I am so excited for all my friends and family to see him in his uniform! I like the fact that the attention wil be on both of us on OUR day instead of all on me.

I’m in the AF and planning my 2011 wedding….wearing my mess or blues is definitely out of the question! But I am thinking about having a POW/MIA table…I saw it at my Marine friend’s wedding and I thought it was a nice way to honor her military service but not take over the whole affair.  My Fiance is civilian so I don’t  think he really cares either way.
