So…this is awkward but I’m going completely insane and need to chat with women!
Among your first pregnancy symptoms, did anyone ever have enlarged Montgomery’s tubercles and white spots (not raised) directly on the nipple? Google is terrifying me, of course. I am absolutely not in a position to have a child yet and have an IUD inserted so that has its own bundle of scary issues to worry about (ectopic?). My periods are not regular and always light given the IUD so I’m not going on much other than being fatigued and the discovery of what I thought only appears in breastfeeding women. And enlarged breasts. 🙁 I’ve been down this road twice but have never noticed the white spots before.
They just look a whole lot like milk ducts to me. I bought a pregnancy test but am trying to wait until morning. I don’t want a false negative. 🙁
I do have an appointment with my (male) GP in the morning, by chance, so hopefully he’ll have some insight too.

I never had that as a pregnancy symptom, even in my last trimester when i was leaking colostrum. Swollen, tender breasts were more of what I experienced when I first got pregnant. Maybe POAS?

beedot: If you have the Mirena or Skyla IUD (basically any IUD with hormones, not the Paraguard or copper IUD) it may be your birth control. I had Mirena for 4 years and constantly had pregnancy symptoms. Like you I was worried about ectopic pregnancy due to to risks of getting pregnant while having the IUD, but I kept taking pregnancy tests and they all came up negative. If you get a negative test tomorrow, maybe talk to your GP about giving you a blood test since I think those are more sensitive.

I’m on the Jaydess. : / It’s the smallest one since apparently my uterus is too tiny for anything else. It’s hormonal but the minimum amount given my poor reaction to Tricyclen Lo. Thank you for the reassurance! It was negative, but I’ll ask my doctor to do a blood test for sure. I forgot to mention my IUD’s strings disappeared long ago (my gynacologist didn’t seem remotely concerned) so I can never check to reassure myself. It’s a frustrating method for sure!

I have never had white spots on the nipples as a pregnancy symptom. But every woman is different. I would go ahead and hold your pee for 4 hrs and poas just to set your mind at ease.
