So I am really excited because I went on a milk glass vase hunt yesterday and today and managed to find over 30 at thrift stores and antique stores! Yay! I love them.
I am thinking of putting two different ones on each table with a mason jar candle (I really want to dye the jars light pink but don’t know if this will be too difficult). I have looked at a couple posts on here about milk glass centerpieces, but I’m wondering if you ladies have any more pictures (please!) or ideas? My wedding will be a bit more formal so I’m trying to keep things ‘sort-of’ fancy but also simple and vintage. And has anyone glass dyed mason jars?
Thanks for sharing!
Here’s a picture of my finds 🙂 (Sorry the pictures aren’t better).

I bookmarked a couple links about dying mason jars a while ago, but I haven’t gotten around to trying it.
It seems easy enough to do, just some food coloring and Mod Podge, but it might require some trial and error for the desired color you’re looking for.
Here they are:

I painted the mason jars for my centerpieces. For mine I put flowers in them so the ModPodge wouldn’t have worked for me. The glass paint is available at Michael’s. When I finished them, they were a little streaky-but with flowers and water it wasn’t very noticeable. I also did 2 coats of paint. I’d recommend trying some different brushes if you go this route.
The milk glass with pink jar candles sounds like it will look lovely! 🙂
And photos from my wedding of my finished product:

I’m happy to hear your shopping trip was successful! That’s a pet peeve of mine, setting out for a day of wedding shopping crossing off the list sort of day… and it turns out NOT successful! Those days make me mad.!!
I’ve never heard of dying mason jars? Do you have a how to website? I’d be interested in reading!
