Ok here is my dilemma
Im getting married on a tight budget even tho i really dont want to mess up my dress so I have received two quotes from these companies for my replica essense dress as pictured
Milly Bridal has fab communication with me and explains everything in detail and have quoted £360 includung some swarvoski crystals while Jeff Lui has replied short and sweet and has quoted £130 using similar crystals???
I have ordered swatch samples from both places so i can at least compare materials but really not sure which to go for as ive heard really good reviews from Jeff Lui and not so much from Milly Bridal???
What do you suggest????

I worked with Jeff and was very pleased.
His beading is very good. Do you care if the crystals are “real” or not, as long as they look similar?

I ordered mine from Jeff Liu and am waiting to receive pictures of my dress. Mines is Very similar, it also is satin, and it has a lot of beading. So far every bride I have seen is very happy with the satin material.

@LadySapphire: Hi ya Thanks so much for replying!!! Did you get samples of the satin first?? Im so nervous of taking a chance with the cheaper one because of the detailing. Do you know if he fits the dress with an underskirt?? or maybe yours doesnt need one??

I think it depends on how much you want the dress to look like the one pictures and how much you love the intricate crystals. A fake will never look exactly like the original so be prepared for that. If you want the one on the picture, don’t get a fake. If you want a dress that loosely is based on the one as your picture than go ahead. I would seriously be skeptical of either of them being made with real swarvoski crystals. These dresses often come back with sequins instead.
Another question you should ask yourself if you are on a tight budjet is will you be able to afford another dress if you buy this one and hate it?
Sorry to be a debbie downer, but personally I’ve never seen a fake dress with details that looked nearly as good as the original.

I ordered from Jeff Liu and I am having a nightmare. Please make sure you purchase through ebay and have him make you a listing. For me I checked out through paypal and I am not covered under his 100% guaranteee and he is only refunding me $100 of my $254 spent. I also don’t know why he charged me so much when I see others with similar dresses fro only $130 or $160.
Personally I ordered from Dressilyme and they have been exceptionally wonderful to work with. They also meet their deadlines. I heard that Milly’s bridal has a hard time doing so.
Good luck on whatever you decide.

I’m waiting on a dress from Jeff right now… my dress will is very simple- chiffon, no beading, lace etc so I feel pretty confident about it being close. If you really don’t care that crystals will be replaced with sequins, etc., Jeff’s good at his work. Otherwise, if you want it to be closer to the original, I’d pay alittle more, get the better materials, and go with Milly. I also considered Landy when researching… read these threads if you haven’t already- I found them very helpful.

I hear that Corals bridal is really good. I also heard good things about mybigfatwedding.com. Milly is really good but they take a long time, I hear.
You might also want to look into babyonline or monicasbridal from dhgate. I hear great things about them too.
