I got my wedding band in the mail today, and I’m sooooo excited! I love it!!
Before going to try on rings, I was a little nervous about how to match a band to my engagement ring. My e-ring lays flush to my finger (the center stone is not raised) and it sticks out a bit on either side. I didn’t want a curved ring, because I’d like to be able to wear my band on its own if I want to, but I didn’t know if it would look weird to pair it with a straight band.
Well, I decided that I don’t mind the gap between my e-ring and a straight band at all! I got a 1/3 carat diamond eternity band set in 14K yellow gold. Here’s a pic of the band on its own:
And with my sapphire and diamond engagement ring:
So ladies, what do you think? Did anyone else embrace the gap and get a mismatched e-ring and wedding band? Or did you need to have them fit together perfectly?

I love gaps!
when they fit together perfectly, it ends up looking like one ring. the gap helps make it clear that you have an e-ring and a wedding band.

I think it looks great! Mine has just a very small gap, hardly noticable, but if it had a lrger gap I don’t think I’d mind.

I specificaly chose an engagement ring and wedding band that allowed for a gap. I love the look, vintage, elegant. Yours look great!

@Scintillante: I am so glad that you posted this! My e-ring sits on my finger much like yours does, and I’ve been stumped on choosing a wedding band. I really really love the look of your set! Very beautiful.
Just out of curiosity, are the rings ever harmed from rubbing together?
