This thread explains it a bit:

WTF is a jr. bride?

I’ve never seen this but sounds interesting.

I am having one.  My flower girls are 4 and 5.  My lil sister is 10 so she will be to old for a flower girl and to young for a bridesmaid.  In my case its just a role for her to play in the wedding, just to make her feel special.  She will not be wearing a veil and her dress will be white but it won’t be like mine.  My flower girls will be in some shade of purple.

My 9 year old daughter (10 by the wedding) will be the junior bride in my wedding and she will have a flower girl as well. her dress will be similar to mine. i was a junior bride in my aunts wedding when i was 9 i think the role is too cute.

I’ve only heard of junior bridesmaids, they’re to young to be a bridesmaid but to old to be a flowergirl. I did however see a junior bride on an episode of 4 weddings…her dress was more of a bridal gown than her mother’s! (It was a vow renewal for the mom I think).

I’m having a mini bride. The ceremony site is outdoors and having a flower girl will mean flowers being thrown on the ground. Since my entire wedding is being ran by family (set up crew, caterers, pastor, dj, photog, bartender, host, etc are all different family member that are gifting their services), I dont want to have to find someone else to have to clean up all the debris and petals. i already feel as though my family members will be working hard, so any job that i can eliminate i will.

Also i am already married (courthouse elopement) and our ceremony will be on our one yr anniversary. My ring is still new so we wont be exchanging ring in our ceremony, so their is no need for the ring bearer.

Since we scratched a flower girl/ring bearer, i still wanted to involve my MOH’s 5yr old daughter and 8 yr old son. the little girl will be a mini bride, dressed in white and a birdcage veil similar to mine. Her brother will escort her down the aisle right before me. she is so excited even thought i dont think she quite understands the job. shes just stoked on wearing her hair loose lol

We are having a Junior bridesmaid. Not a jr bride. She will be with the bridesmaids in their color (purple). Basically I just wanted her to be involved, becuase I have been in her life since before she was born and she holds a special place in my heart. This makes her feel special and lets her particiapte. Since none of my bridesmaids have any duties, neither will she.

my mini bride is basically a flower girl without the flowers. she will have a white flowergirl dress, so she will not scream MINI BRIDE.
