(Closed) mini cakes instead of large cake?

There is one major con – cost.  The cost of making each one of those cakes is very high.  I’ve been quoted $10 and up for no decoration.  That is because each cake must be baked or cut seperately, and then frost each individual cake, which is alot more work than one large cake.

My cousin had a mini cake at each table so they doubled as a centerpiece. I thought it was a nice idea plus when it was time for cake it got people to mingle because each cake was a different flavor.

I did three 6” rounds frosted with swiss buttercream, they were $26 a piece. Cost wise is it more expensive, but it looked so cute… each one was frosted in a different pattern.
