Any ideas for a mini moon in May? I dont think we will have time for a week long honeymoon because my fiance wont have vacation time til that Sept. I’m open to trips within the continental US. And am considering asking to be taken to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter:p

Check out Jamestown, Rhode Island. It’s gorgeous and has a very small town feel. Specifically look at the East Bay Bed and Breakfast.

I LOVE Ithaca, NY. That’s where we’re going for our mini-moon. Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard are nice ideas too…or even Montreal if you want an international/European feel. I would love to go to Assateague Island to see the wild ponies! As you can see I love the northeast and May is the perfect time to be there.

May is often one of the few nice months in Boston/RI (I live there. Hate the weather!). It’s stil pretty chilly in Maine that time of year, though. And I have yet to go on a vacation in Maine where it didn’t rain half the time or more.
What about the outer banks off of North Carolina? That’s supposed to be really spectacular!

Bald Head Island, NC–This is where we got married but it is such a special place. You take a short 15 min ferry to the island where there are no cars, only golf carts. All rentals inlcude a golf cart. It is gorgeous. A light house, water sports, beaches, golf, etc. http://www.baldheadisland.com/

Washington DC, and the OBX are out because my fiance is from DC area and we’ve been to the OBX a bajillion times. I didnt think of the keys though… I like that idea.
@miss.skinner: I’ve never been to bald head island, but I’ve been to sunset beach, nc which isn’t too far. That seems pretty cool and not too far from where I live. Thanks for the suggestion.
