I’ve been debating about favors because we’re on a pretty tight budget BUT I had this idea… is it lame?
I have a ton of pretty patterned fabric in our wedding colors, and I was thinking of making little “bags” and wrapping some mini muffins in cellophane and putting them in the fabric bags and placing them at each setting.
We’re having a brunch reception, so I am thinking people could have them between ceremony & brunch (while we do some pictures) since they’ll probably be hungry!
If I buy a big box of the mini muffins at Sams or Costco and put 4 in each bag, I don’t think it would cost too much. Thoughts??

@kmkrhb27: i think the idea of the muffins is a good idea but to be honest i dont really know about the pre packaged ones. I know that my local stores make mini muffins that are made in the bakery that are relativly cheap. It may look better. the ones that are prepackaged seem artificial to me..
Also what about making them? i know its time consuming but that would prob. be the most inexpensive way
Just my opinion

I love muffins but I agree with @mattsgirl813: as well. Maybe test out making a batch and freezing them for a week or so and then unthaw them and see if they still taste good. Or get a large group together for the week of and make them.
Otherwise check with a local bakery and see how much they would charge to order those compared to how much they would cost at SAMS Club and weigh all the options.

Oh, I never thought about making them!
Our wedding is an hour away and the wedding party is staying there the night before… I wonder if we wrap them in cellophane & assemble the bags the day before we leave, if they’ll still be fresh the morning of the wedding two days later? :-/

@kmkrhb27: As long as they are sealed they should stay fresh. Muffins usually hold pretty well.
