and she spent 210 dollars on it without any of my input.
I’m sure most of it will be useable, and I’m sure she got a good deal, but still… She could have at least checked with me first.
And she’s had her heart set on those really tall vases and flower arrangements, and I just don’t like them. Lo and behold, she bought those vases today.

explain to her that’s not what you want and take them back to get the ones you want?
compromise and do a couple she likes since she paid for it for you and do the rest how you want?

My mom does things like this.
Here are your choices: 1) Use these and move on; 2) Tell your mom you didn’t want tall vases and she should have checked with you before purchasing them and don’t use them. She can return them or not. Her choice.
I have reached the point in my life where I refuse to feel trapped, guilted or bullied into doing something I don’t want to do.

She got them at a going out of business sale and so she won’t be able to take them back anyway.
