Just curious what the minimum cost is to get married in your area. Not to have a full wedding, but just to get legally married.
Here, the licence cost me $80 and it looks like most commissioners charge about $200. I did find as low as $140 if done in an office with 5 people max, the commissioner, the couple and 2 witnesses. You wouldn’t even be able to have both sets of parents present for that cost.

Does that include gas to the courthouse? lol
Its 93 bucks and change for the licence and 30 bucks to do the ceremony. So $ 123 🙂
They also have wedding packages that comes with photography for $149

In Florida, I think it was $90 for the license and $30 for the ceremony. No limit on guests, I think, but obviously it’s a small area. The license fee can be reduced if you take an approved premarital counseling course.

My license was $39 and my ceremony with my priest was free (we tipped him obvi).

$60 for the license and $10 for a civil ceremony.

@Eva Peron: We’ll assume it’s walking distance!

Our license was $76 I think and our officiant would have been $100 minimum, in his office at the church. So around $180.

It is $100 for a licence.
I don’t know if the Court charges an additional fee.
Our ceremony and priest were technically free, we gave him an honourarium.

here it’s 28 for the license, and I’m not sure how much a civil ceremony costs.

I can’t remember what the license was! 30 I think. And then we paid 100 for the officient; not sure how much the courthouse is.

It was approx $45 for the papers, I think.

I think it’s a little sad the very minimum cost for couple who just wants to be married. I had a large church fee, but maybe some ministers would be willing to do it for free in a small, quick ceremony on a weekday or even during a Sunday service. They charge more here to provide witnesses than some of your ceremonies!

The license is $110, and the fee for the ceremony in city hall or the court house is $257. If you want a court or municipal official to officiate outside city hall or the courhouse, it’s $342.25 (plus the license fee). Not cheap!

Our appliation to file for a marriage certificate was $45
Our marriage certificate was $55
The judge who married us charged $50 for the service.
EDIT: I almost forgot… we had to go online after sending in the papers and order another certificat with the states seal which was $30 in order for our insurance to believe us.
Total: = $150… unless you want insurance $180
