I don’t have a minivan, but three of my friends do, and all three have the Honda Odyssey. These women don’t know each other and all three looked for awhile before purchasing. They all claim that it was the most comfortable to drive with the best safety ratings and the easiest for getting multiple kids, bags, car seats, etc. in and out.

I’m sorry that I don’t have actual facts, just anecdotes, but I know my friends really thought about it and did a lot of comparing before making their choices.

I also don’t have much information but have heard really good things about the Honda Odessy.  My SIL has it with 2 kids and loves it, as well as many moms in my fb moms group.  Lol.

ajillity81 :  They also have good 4th of July sales too, if you don’t want to feel rushed and have the ability to wait a little while.

My neighbors have the Toyota Sienna (base model) and they don’t really care for it in terms of comfort, functionality, and safety features. Just something to consider.

I rented a Chrysler Town and Country a few years ago and it was comfy and nimble. Loved the automatic trunk and door openers.

My sister has 3 kids and she just bought an Oddyssey a couple of months ago.  She had an SUV with a thrid row, but found it really hard to get to the back to make sure my niece was buckled up.  So now my Brother-In-Law has the SUV and they got her the minivan.

She really, really likes it.  Honda has a pretty good track record with reliability (i have a Honda Pilot) and resale value (not that they’re looking to sell it anytime soon, but just a fact).  For a minivan it gets decent gas miilage – actually better than her SUV.

The only problem, if you want to call it that, is that the dealer was not really willing to negotiate price because they are so popular.  They bought one already on the lot and it wasn’t her preferred color so they did take some off the sticker price, but not a ton, unlike some of their other vehicles.
