I ordered my invites from Vistaprint and they came in yesterday. They look great, but there is a minor typo on our RSVP card–my fault, not Vistaprint’s, so they can’t/won’t fix it (understandably).
We did a Madlib RSVP and there is a period in a place where there should be a comma. It is in blue font on ivory cardstock.
I know this is a very small error, but I’m an English teacher, so it’s really bothering me!
I was thinking with the right color colored pencil or paint and a needle (to make it fine enough) I could add a little tail to the period. Should I leave it alone or try to fix it?

Do you have any extras? If so just do it on one and see what you think.

Ahh this is tough. Probably no one would notice, except ME because things like that REALLY bother me as well! I don’t think I could bring myself to send them out that way. I would probably try to fix them, and if it doesn’t work, re-order them 🙁 I can’t stand typos and I look down on people who make them haha.

I would notice (because I was an English major and an editor for a long time) but I can guarantee you almost no one else will notice. Try it out on one to make sure, but if it doesn’t look awesome or it’s noticeable that you’ve made a change I would just send them out.

If you get the right color fine tipped felt pen, I think you could add a tail and turn it into a comma if it’s really bothering you. Hopefully you have extras, so you can try it out on one and see how it looks. I’m not sure how observant your guests will be, but it’s probably something that I would notice but that my Fiance wouldn’t. I think the best option would be to just have the RSVP cards reprinted if you can afford it.

I know what you mean about it bugging you! I have mild OCD so it would bother me too, haha. I would try to fix it by hand.

I wouldn’t be able to send those out because I’d be losing my mind over it, even though no one else will likely notice, so I get ya.
I agree with PP’s- try going to a craft store or something and finding blue thin Sharpies in a couple shades, then use extra cards to see if you can make it work. I would be willing to bet you’ll be able to figure something out.

I think I am going to spend my evening trying to fix it! It’s at least worth a shot, and we have about 11 extras as of right now, so I think I can spare one or two for testing. I don’t have any pictures with me, but I will post a few tonight after I try some things out.
@Pumkin_Bee: I have thought about doing that as a last resort. Our budget is extremely tight, but if I can’t fix it, I might get rid of something else to make room for this. It would only be about $60 to reorder, so I think I could swing it if I absolutely had to.

@whitarens: Saw your post…had to say…be thankful it is only a comma problem…just had friend send out her invitations and they forgot to put their actual wedding date on them!

I know the poll says FIX ITTTT but…don’t. Please. It’s so not worth it. As soon as I finished printing all 300 of our DIY invite suites, I realized I put the wrong zip code on the invitation. Awesome.
And literally NO ONE has said anything. Even people who have looked thoroughly at them. Haha.

Oh ugh!!! I had something like this just happen to me. We also have Vistaprint invitations, and when they came in yesterday, Fiance pointed out that our quote started out with Two live instead of Two liveS. Luckily I was able to fix and reprint for a tiny sum.
If you are thinking of re-ordering, make sure to use the RetailMeNot 50% off link:

ETA: The 50% off is only good in the month of March, so if you want to use it, it needs to be this weekend.
