Yes, you should find a different color

    No, it looks great!

    It's ok, but not great.

I’m biased as I did mint/grey. I think the black is a little harsh for the mint and I’m not sure how to tie it into their look… black shoes did not look good with my mint dresses.

I think it would look fine. It looked good in this wedding.

We had a similar situation.. except that it was Future Mother-In-Law really wanted Fiance in black… so we have decided to keep her happy, he will be in black next to me in white, and my BMs are in pastely blue next to groomsmen in grey.

If grandma only cares about Fiance being in black that could be an idea… but I guess it depends on why she wants black and if she wants for everyone…

@mayflowerbride13: That’s exactly what my fiance and I are doing, too, and what I was just about to suggest.

My bridesmaids are in a pale green, too, that’s a few shades darker than the mint green here. The groomsmen are wearing medium-grey tuxes, and my fiance is wearing black.

If it’s important to incorporate black in honor of his grandmother, could he wear a black tux with your groomsmen still in grey?

I do think the black tuxes look totally fine with the mint dresses, though.

I don’t really think anything can look bad with black tuxes, but I’m not fashion expert either.

@Averne:  That was what I was going to suggest as well! I would do Groomsmen in grey and Fiance in black, that makes everyone happy and would still look gorgeous in pictures!

I’m wearing mint and black today (black dress, mint cardi) so I think they look great together. Stick with it (plus, I’m so tired of seeing those grey tuxes….)

I’m by no means a fashion expert, but the pictures I’m seeing here look very nice!

Plus it reminds me of chip and mint ice cream, which is delicious. So I vote that they look great!

It brings a more evening/sophisticated/city feel to the whole thing, but besides that I think it looks great.
