I’m sitting here riding out the hurricane (hope any other bees on the coast are safe!) so I figured why not finally order my invitations? I’ve pretty much had my mind made up on a particular Minted design for a while now, ordered a sample, loved it, good to go right? Now that I’m trying to personalize it I kind of want to pull my hair out because this particular one can’t be changed very much. So I decided that I’ll just keep the wording they have and put in a special request to have our last names on there and to include enough room for the address. Hopefully, that’s a crisis averted. But now I’ve moved on to the RSVP card.
As you can see it just has a spot for people to write in their names. I know Minted doesn’t have inner envelopes so it won’t be clear exactly who is invited. Unfortunately, I can see some of FI’s family assuming their children are invited when we are having a child free wedding so I really want to avoid that issue. So what the hell should I do, ask that they add a line with how many seats are reserved? Who knew invitations could be so complicated?
Side story – We have some family here and Future Father-In-Law was talking about how all the women in town wear yoga pants and when he goes to Starbucks and he said “I see more camel toe than Lawrence of Arabia by noon everyday!” I think we’re all going crazy sitting around in this storm
