has anyone used Minted.com for invites? They are running a deal on Gilt for $200 worth of merchandise for $100. I am trying to save money with invites (not somewhere I want to spend a ton), but I also don’t want to print them on my home computer. I’m hoping to stay under $500 (and ideally closer to $300) for invites (for a 150 person wedding — not for 150 invites though).
It looks like you can get the main invite plus plain envelope for $240 for 100 invites. They get you on the extras ($170 for reception cards; $40 for return address on envelope, etc). For this deal though, I am looking at $140 for 100 invites, plus maybe $250 if I only add the reception card and return address (and then postage). We are going to try to do RSVPs via email (and include the info on the reception card).
Sorry if this is too much detail — just trying to figure out if this is a good deal or not, or if anyone has any thoughts on Minted.
Alternatively, if anyone has any suggestions on ways to save money on invites or other ways to go, I would appreciate. I don’t really have time to DIY, so I’m looking for a cheaper print option. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to have 10 pieces of paper and lined envelopes and backers…but I have decided I would rather spend the money somewhere else in the budget. I just want something nice, simple and classic.
