@am.coletta: I am sorry to hear that!  I had low grade fevers and lots of pain on the mirena but it was just the endometriosis and not PID or anything else.  They worried about infections because of the pain and fevers, but it turns out my endometriosis was not controlled very well while on it.  I have heard lots of people having success with it though!  Just remind yourself that you are treating it and the drugs will kill off all the nasty bacteria rapidly.

Awww doll, I hate to hear that. I hope you are better or on your way to recovery! Please update. I have had my Mirena a year and 6 months to be exact and I haven’t had any issues with it at all. On insertion day, I had some mild pain (like normal menstrual cramping) and it was gone within a couple hours. The next couple of days, My cervix was tender feeling….that’s the best way to describe it….and ever since then, everything has been great.
